FINAL URGENT CALL for papers for the 2010 conference of the European Group for the Study of Deviance and Social Control, British and Irish section, April 14-16 at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Keynote speakers for the conference include Barbara Hudson, Maria Kaspersson, Deena Haydon, Joe Sim, Phil Scraton. There are important contributions from community and activist organisations: Greater Manchester Stop the War Coalition, Mothers Against Violence, and RAPAR — Refugees and Asylum seekers Participatory Action Research. We have a good venue, and a three course dinner with drink at Sangam’s on Manchester’s Curry Mile on the Thursday evening is included, along with musical entertainment from political singer-songwriter Claire Mooney. We think it is shaping to be a fine conference. Please see the attached flier.
