Liam Minihan Memorial Lecture
The Liam Minihan Memorial Lecture will take place on Thursday 6 May 2010 in Wynns Hotel, 35-39 Lower Abbey Street, Dublin1. The lecture, Reflecting on the Ryan Report: Coercive Confinement in 20th Century Ireland will be given by Dr. Eoin O’ Sullivan, Trinity College Dublin. The event is hosted by the Irish Prison Education Association.

Eoin O’Sullivan is Senior Lecturer in Social Policy in the School of Social Work and Social Policy, Trinity College, Dublin and Fellow of Trinity College. He is the lead editor of the European Journal of Homelessness. Recent collaborative publications include Young People’s Homeless Pathways (2008), Lives in Crisis: Homeless Young People in Dublin (2007); Crime and Punishment in Ireland 1922 to 2003: A Statistical Sourcebook (2005), Crime, Punishment and the Search for Order in Ireland (2004), Crime Control in Ireland: The Politics of Intolerance (CUP, 2001) and Suffer the Little Children: The Inside Story of Ireland’s Industrial Schools (2001).
