An Ghaeilge faoi Ghlas: Republican Prisoners and the Irish language revival in the North of Ireland? with Feargal Mac Ionnrachtaigh. Feargal is a former pupil of Bunscoil Phobal Feirste and Meánscoil Feirste in West Belfast. He attended Queens University Belfast and completed his PhD in 2009 with a thesis of the same title as this lecture. He plays Gaelic football for Gort na Móna CLG and is active in the Irish language revival in the city of Belfast. He is chairperson of Glór na Móna, the Irish language and cultural community group based in the Upper Springfield area of west Belfast. Feargal works full-time as Project Worker with the Gaeltacht Quarter Irish language development agency Forbairt Feirste. The talk will take place in Gort na Móna CLG, Springfield Road, west Belfast.
